Plug your appliance, fluorescent or incandescent lamp into the socket at the bottom of this module and then plug the module into any standard 230V wall outlet. Set the code you want the appliance to respond to and you can then control that appliance from anywhere in your house that you have an X10 compatible transmitter or timer. Manual override feature allows you to manually turn the appliance on from the appliance even if the module has been turned off. (Manual override may not work on certain appliances.)
