Many homes today have ben pre-wired with co-axial cables to distribute the audio-visual signal, but are unable to distribute the IR codes. Powermid Plus (PM24E) sends the IR codes by RF and provides a much needed universal remote. THe UR24E contains an extensive library of codes to match most of the TV, VCR, Cable and SAT receivers currently available. With the RF facility , the remote is used together with an IR extender to allow audio/visual components such as a satellite receiver to be controlled from any room in the house.
