Comfort Current Sensors are designed to monitor AC mains current supplied to equipment in order to determine whether they are switched on or off. The Current sensor is connected directly to any Comfort input programmed as Normally Open switch (Zone Type 8) or Digital Zone (Zone Type 31) for firmware 4.166 and above.
The status of the equipment (on/off) can be announced on the Home Control Menu. Current sensors are also needed for infrared-controlled equipment where the infrared signal alternately switches the equipment on and off.
CSM03 consists of two parts; 2 CSM03-CT Current Transformers wired back to a CSM03PCB which is plugged into two adjacent zones, i.e. a single 3-pin terminal block in Comfort. The CSM03 is a dual current sensor which is connected to two adjacent zones. Hence it is best if
current sensors are used in pairs. If there are an odd number of Current sensors needed, this means that only one zone in a CSM03PCB will be connected to a CSM03CT current transformer. The remaining zone can be used for other purposes.
