The MS13E2 X-10 Occupancy Sensor/Motion Detector (433 MHz) sends wireless radio frequency (RF) signals to a transceiver TM13. The receiver then passes the signals onto your house wiring to turn on lights or appliances around the home. The MS13E2 can also send signals to turn off a light at a designated time. The user can also set the MS13E2 to turn off a 1,2,4,8,16,32,64 and 128 minutes later as long as no motion has been detected.
Imagine not having to tell the kids to turn the lights off when they are not in the room. With the MS13E2 sensor it can be done automatically.
Imagine not having to search for a light switch in the dark. The MS13E2 can turn on the lights when someone enters the room. With the CM11/CM15 ActiveHome Computer Interface you can set up macros to run when the MS13E2 senses occupancy or not. With the CM11/CM15 time delay you can have sequenced lighting.
So it not only the little room or the front door that you may wish to control with an occupancy sensor! In addition, every time you turn of the light or a heater for example you will be saving money as well.
Note that the MS13E2 has a built-in photocell that detects when it is dark. The user can select to use the photocell to only turn lights on when it is dark. In this condition the MS13E2 does not transmit RF during daylight. Alternatively, the user may choose not to use the photocell and the MS13E2 will transmit day and night that there is someone there. In addition, the MS13E2 sends signals when it detects dusk and dawn so it can turn a light on when it gets dark and turn it off when it gets light (in addition to turning lights on when it detects motion, when its dark)
